A Nor’easter and a Windstorm Deliver a One-Two Punch

Category: Books, Journal, Nonfiction – admin – 12:19 pm

After the nor’easter dumped almost a foot of snow on us, a clipper raced through with high winds, creating a white out.

My cross-country skis were out, I was ready to go, but nature had other plans. My guess is that these conditions are too extreme even for the coyotes, squirrels, and turkeys. The mice and voles are probably tunneling under the snow.

I went home and continued reading Julie of the Wolves, by Jean Craighead George. I’m there on the tundra, especially on a day like today.
