Wild Photos: Exploring the Canon A710 IS

Category: Hiking, Journal – Admin – 3:45 am

I love this camera. I’m even more enthusiastic about Canon’s tech
support.

Based in Virginia, these folks are so skilled and so patient that I am motivated to replace my printer and fax with Canon products. The tech support problem solvers do not talk from a script. They are excellent listeners. David and Joe spent time figuring out that my old Lexmark printer - history for more than a year, still had a ghostly presence that prevented me from downloading my new photos to my laptop.

How cool to be able to photograph at night

I used the portrait feature to capture these rose hips.

This deer must not have caught my scent. This is at first light.

I wonder who is living in the den this season.

This squirrel is much farther from me than the photo would suggest. I
could see it with my naked eye, but not through my viewfinder. I cropped
the photo.

Having images in addition to my words is empowering. I have more featuresto explore. I love the feeling of slowing down to observe and sometimes capture an image because this point-and-shoot tool compensates for my lack of
training as a photographer.

This camera also has a moving picture feature. I can upload the file to YouTube. How cool is that?
