The Internet is like having a giant library at my disposal. Bad weather days are not quite the same when I can ask:
I wonder if . . . and get answers to questions or browse sites that motivate me to write.
Here are a few sites that feed my eyes, brains and fingers:
1. Language is a Virus: I love this for madlibs, but there are lots of writer-friendly interactive links like a translator.
2. 11 Rules of Writing: A useful quick reference for those times when you draw a blank.
3. Zach’s Word Unscrambler: An excellent quick fix for stumped word-puzzlers.
4. Cliché Finder: This is another cool software for random word play on a bad weather day.
5. British Library Online Catalog: If you like original edition books, this site is a treat. Beyond the original manuscript, you can listen to the book being read - pure heaven.
