Wild Edible Recipe: Flower Blosssom Salad

Here’s what I’m dining on after a long day foraging.

Salad

The plants are listed below. I like to take a moist paper towel and wipe each leaf, rather than immersing them in water. It’s effective at removing any soil from the leaves. I only harvest blossoms that are free of dirt.

Lamb’s quarters, (Chenopodium album)

*Black locust blossoms, ( Robinia pseudoacacia)

Catbrier, (Smilax bona-nox)

Violet (Viola sororia)

* This may cause allergic reactions in some people. ALWAYS test for edibility.

I gathered enough of each of these items to create more salads and side dishes.
