Male bees don’t have stingers. That’s just one of the things wrong with this animated film.
I’m clueless at the decision-making that lead to this bizarre script. Are men in our culture so insecure that they have to depart from the way real bees live?
It wouldn’t be such a big deal, except bees are at risk. There are several theories as to why this is happening. The bottom line is that bees pollinate many of the plants that we depend on for food.
Despite Hollywood’s history of nature bloopers, nothing changes.
I wish the people involved would at least read a newspaper or look out the window before wasting resources on Bee Movie.
I don’t blame Jerry Seinfeld or Renee Zellweger for taking a job. Not every celebrity can be Willie Nelson or Darryl Hannah. But I am sorry that neither appears to be aware of the impact of their stardom or the opportunity to use their voice in a meaningful way.
People I know will not waste time on this movie. But what about all the other people seeking to entertain their children? The earth and natural systems that support us are at risk. In my opinion, we cannot afford to waste time and resources on misinformation, even if it’s packaged as fantasy.
